This is clearly a letter I got from Photographers Forum Magazine contest. So I am going to be published in a book of college photography. That is pretty cool, hopefully the image will go farther. I am pretty excited still as stuff like this hardly happens to me. I will also show the image that gained finalist recognition as well.

Light Painting in Downtown Phoenix

Well these pictures are a little bit of an adventurous story behind them. I went out on a light painting expedition with a couple of my friends. Hunting out locations and fighting paranoia because of some of the areas we were in. We tried out multiple ways of light painting, the hardest (being we tried once and stopped caring) was lighting the location with the strobe. Now thinking back on it There should be multiple EASY ways this could have been accomplished. It just required a different technique of a long exposure process than what we were trying out. Anyway  these are shot in the heart of downtown Phoenix, it is illegal to take pictures of this fowls vascular organ so mainly just some land/cityscapes downtown.

Things I have done while writing this blog post:
-Talked to a man about "kinky" beds

-Reviewed shot notes

- Looked up studio trusses

-Saw a ghost

-Discussed the housing situation

**Update**

Forgot to mention, Miles got egged by a random passerby, on his final photograph in his roll. Will provide a link and possible image that he took in a new post.

Special D, Hard Light Trick

Some of the people that read this would know who Special D is. This being because I assume that most of the people found my blog because of my work at clubs/raves/dance parties. If you didn't know who he is here is a youtube video of one of his songs.

He hails from Germany so this shoot was a rare opportunity, but he is an awesome guy. I talked to him a couple of times previously when he was down here Dj'ing but this was the first time I was able to hang out and talk to him about non event related activities and such. The first image that is shown in this post is from when we were trying to figure out the style of the shoot. I am including this because it shows from where we started to where we ended up. I am probably going to use the last image on my website but the final batch of photos really stand  out to me the most. I do like how this kind of shows how my creative process works.

It started off slowly but kind of skyrocketed near the end, I need to figure out a way to keep that skyrocketing. I  have learned multiple things since my shoot tonight and my shoot with Sam Groove. Which you can see some of the pictures in an earlier blog post.

1) The strobes need to be in some way sensors facing each other.
     - This being said it seems obvious but I was under the assumption of wireless transmitting being spherical            and not more of a cone shape.

2) Light modifiers are cool but nothing beats bare flash.
     - My different light modifiers are good for certain situations, but my best has always came with the least amount of other equipment. So learning the modifiers more will benefit on them but never forget the basics.

3) Relax
    - I shouldn't even say that I needed to learn that! I always thought I was relaxed but recently it seems I have been under a lot of stress I been putting on my self with self imposed deadlines and other things that time wise are just about impossible to do. I need to just relax, sleep more and take my time. The quality of my work hasn't declined but I need to pace myself before something like that does happen. With school starting I should be able to do that thankfully.

Things I have done while writing this blog post:

-Chit chatted with my good friend

-Wandered Youtube

- Coughed a whole bunch and got a drink of water

Rainbow Brite Music Festival

Tonight in Arizona was the RainbowBrite Music Festival. This event was a great way for my friend Nick to have his birthday. He hosted this event for TEN HOURS. I got some great shots in between small meetings with some future clients of a ticketing site I work for. Following my current tradition I think I will only post four photos. It seems like a good idea, anyways for this event I used my spotlight without a grid spot on my 580EXII. It work pretty well but since I wanted to try the spotlight on the 15mm fisheye it gave an expected vignette. Which worked for my favor depending on the lighting.

Things I did while writing this blog post:

- Chatted with Micheal Gamer

- Looked up House of Leaves on Wikipedia

- Lusted about laying down in my bed since it's almost 5  A.M.

Photoshoot with Sam Groove

I did a photo shoot with a local DJ Sam Groove. Here are some of the shots for your visual pleasure.

This was a fun shoot, got about 150 good shots but I was going strobist for the desert shots.
For the ones above the freeway I just used my 580exII.

As I type this at 2:47 a.m. I just got back home from a hip-hop club. Uploaded their photos and emailed them to Danny. I am slowly passing out on the keyboard. So far my brain can't handle the fact it is almost 3 a.m. and I have a busy day tomorrow. I want to finish this post and sleep but I feel as if there is something important I wanted to say.

Can't be that important if I forgot.

The Cat Starts The Race

Well I think it would be a good idea to start this off with a small amount of pictures of my cat. Not to bore anyone with the technical information or talk about how great I am throughout the blog post, present and future. (You know because my ego is larger than a zeppelin and to feed it I need to constantly talk about myself.) This blog will mainly be here to show some stuff I have done. I might ask for some input on current projects or about other things, who knows. I can't predict the future, and if you can your a fucking witch. Not that I prejudice about witches, they just don't like me in the "new age" stores. Usually I just get stalked and they think I am stealing the precious gems. I don't want your damn gems seriously, don't stalk me in your damn store. Enjoy my cat, her name is Itsumi.

Things I have done while making this Blogpost

-Made a list of songs for my friend to read

-Took a picture of Itsumi on my cellphone

-Though about making breakfast at 2p.m.

Well I Guess

Welcome to my blogspot. I have no idea what I am going to post besides some images every once in a while and possibly some stories or something that might keep people entertained. I am probably just going to make post that entertain myself.
