Self Portraits July 26th

Well after my little sisters shoot I decided I didn't have any decent shots of my self. Which is a bit ironic considering I am a photographer so I decided I needed to do one. Now in the timeline of the blog my sisters photos were posted on the 27th of July and this is going to be posted sometime in the future after that but these images were taken on the 26th of July, while my sisters were taken much earlier in the month, I think around the second week of July.
   I haven't done a lot of super high key stuff so I decided to give it a shot but with any self portrait shoot the hardest part is focus, which between aperture control and a little ingenuity a rough focus can be achieved very easily. The top image is a little too cool in the sense of white balance but it  I like the tone it gives to the image. The top image is also missing the bottom light which was added in the bottom image.
   This shoot was very off the collar just because I wanted to have a decent profile image on social networking sites and other things that may require my image or what not.

Chalynn Claiborne Photoshoot

  Well these few images are from my little sisters grad photos that I took. When she was in town, here are a few of my favorite images from the shoot but these were done in my studio. Unfortunately my studio is located in my garage so it was outrageously hot since at the moment I am still located in Arizona. These were taken with two hot lights and some umbrellas at about 45 degrees.
   There was a lot to do that day and I am glad the photos turned out well as I haven't used my hot lights or studio set up since my Traditional Photography II Final at Glendale Community College.

Sasha Cardinale-Weinberg Photoshoot

     This blog post is long overdue considering I took these photos right after Fanime. I been busy getting ready for my move to San Fransisco so my posting has been very infrequent unlike when I first started the blog. I been slightly engrossed in the Homestuck Fandom and by my self made gamefly get all your money's worth game schedule I have put myself on. Soon I should have another post with my little sisters graduation shots and probably another set that I took a while back. Soon I will be doing a self portrait set and some other silly little things before I abscond from Arizona.

Anyway here are the photos I took of my dear friend and future roommate Sasha featuring her little sister in the second image.


This was a fun shoot in Aptos, California since it was after Fanime we were all a little tired but the trip was amazing. I have never wandering in an actual forest until then. Since a lot of minor details and major events are still fuzzy from the lack of sleep and the hikes I can't comment about it too much but it was an amazing adventure.  I have a feeling my black and white style is getting to be more favorable to me. I know the caffenol scans probably aren't as good as they could be so that will be a trip on it's own to get that properly done but this is just the start of that still.

Just Another Desert Party 2011 Medium Format Photos

     Well these photos are from Just Another Desert Party taken from my Yashica-D. I said all I needed to say about the event but these are some of the images taken from my favorite 120mm camera. I want to get another but currently I only have a holga and a Kodak Brownie to shoot 120mm out of that are trust worthy cameras. The others need to be cleaned and calibrated just because of how old they are. Anyway here are the some of my favorite images from the roll to start off this fabulous month of July.
